Spider veins often appear as red or blue clusters close to the surface of the skin on either the face or legs. They can look like tree branches or spider webs with their short jagged lines. Facial and leg veins can be treated with a variety of lasers including the Gemini and V-Star, as well as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) devices
The same lasers can be used to directly target dilated capillaries and broken blood vessels without harming the skin. While a few treatments may be enough for the facial vessels, you may need several treatments to see results on other areas of your body. Some patients require periodic maintenance.
It is best to undergo treatment when skin is not exposed to the sun or tanned.
